Primarily a facility for preschool and elementary school kids to enjoy with their parents, the Child and Family Science Center gives families an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the ocean, nature, and their environment. It is divided into five zones: the entrance, the factory, fun search, exchange, and outdoor. The outdoor zone features a playground, monuments, and an outlook floor for viewing the ocean. Approximately six minutes by car via Obama Interchange on the Maizuru-Wakasaka Expressway.

GWに10歳、３歳の子供と行きました。主にボールプールで遊びました。ボールプールに大きな船があり、船の中にはモニター、ボール大砲、様々な見え方の双眼鏡があったり、ハンモック、滑り台と様々な遊びができます。また他の場所では予約制ですが、有料の料理教室もありました。人数制限ありのマジックカラーボトル作りもありました。1階には2歳児まで？が遊べる広場や、お弁当が食べられれスペースもあり、半日は十分過ごせ...

巨大なボールプール、こどもたち大興奮でした！小学校低学年まではいけます。お弁当食べられる休憩室あり、ワークショップあり、お買いものごっこができる場所あり。遊び尽くした後は、隣の道の駅までいって、アイスなど食べるもよしです。
