Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath
This is a spa town which is located in the mountainside of “Mt. Myoko” in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture, which prospered from the Edo period as a province managed hot spring. It has been famous as a ski resort since the Meiji era, and there are a number of well-known ski resorts such as “Akakura Onsen Ski Resort” nearby. Akakura hot spring is a combination of two spring types, and is a valuable famous spring called “spring of beautiful skin,” and “natural skin lotion.” “Akakura hot spring footbath park” is located on the edge of the Akakura hot spring township, and in the park there are large and small footbaths that anyone can use free of charge.
