This is a tourist facility in Tsugawa, Aga, Higashi Kanbara, Niigata Prefecture, famous for kitsunebi (floating orbs of light). Every year on the third of May exhibitions and local souvenirs on the theme of “Tsugawa Fox’s Marriage Procession” are displayed and sold. “Tsunagawa Fox’s Marriage Procession” is an event where the bride imitates the movements of a fox while walking along a night road, reproducing marriage processions of the Edo period. Inside the hall visitors can see a reproduction diorama, enjoy making a fox mask and a fox makeup experience.

津川の、常浪川と阿賀野川の合流部にあります。駐車場はありますが、停められる台数は少ないです。昔、代官所があった所の跡地に建てられたそうです。休日はツアーの団体さん訪れ、一過性ですが混雑する時間帯があります。入場は無料です。一階は売店と軽食スタンドがあります。二階は大広間があり、狐の嫁入りに関する資料が幾つか展示されています。三階には展望室があります。軽食スタンドは、団体さんの弁当作...

目の前に広がる阿賀野川と山の美しさは絶景です。資料館というよりは休憩所といった感じです。紅葉の時期に行ったら、もっと良いと思います。
狐の嫁入り屋敷です

麒麟山温泉♨️に泊まった際に行ってみました。見どころは入口脇の狐の嫁入り像と中に展示してある狐の嫁入り行列の人形です。二階は過去のポスターや花嫁衣装など…阿賀野川の景色が見えて良かったですよ♪
