Prominent with its green awning is Cafe Konditorei Hiro Kranz, a confectionery shop in Chuo Ward, Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture. The shop mainly sells a selection of authentic Viennese cakes made by the shop owner who mastered his craft in Austria and Germany. The cake shop is particularly well known for its classic Viennese cake, sachertorte. Also popular are the maronen, a Viennese style Mont Blanc, and the Dopperi saka blätter (literally “Dopperi slope leaf pie”), chosen as a Niigata City specialty cake. There is also an area where you can sit down and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with your cake.

スイーツの種類はそれなりに多く、店内もこじんまりとしていて落ち着いていました。ベリー系がたくさん乗っているタルトを食べましたが甘酸っぱくておいしかったです。

落ち着いた雰囲気のお店です。少し時間があった時にお茶するにはもってこい。豊富な種類のケーキやタルトが美味しいです。

オーストリアで修行されたのでしょうか。現地の味に近くて、しかも美味しいケーキや焼き菓子のお店です。半分ぐらいはオーストリアやドイツでよく見たお菓子で、半分ぐらいはよくあるフランス菓子ですが、どちらも美味しいです。個人的にはケーキはオーストリアっぽいもの、焼き菓子はフランス菓子が特に美味しいです。
