This is a specialty shop for Kakinoha-zushi established for over 50 years in Yoshinoyama, Yoshino Town, located in a building over 50 years old along Prefectural Route 15. It is beside the Yoshimizu-jinja Shrine Torii, the World Heritage Site, and they sell sushi of domestic mackerel and Fukui-produced brand rice Koshihikari wrapped in Nishi-Yoshino-produced kaki leaves packed in a Yoshino cedar wood box. During cherry blossom season it is also possible to dine inside the shop.

蔵王堂の少し上手。柿の葉寿司の専門店。ばら売りはないので、一番小さい箱950円を買って、食べ比べ。ここの鯖は、寿司の一面をしっかり覆う大きさがあって、大将の几帳面さがよく分かります。大きさもあって、ヘビータイプの柿の葉寿司かなと思います。

昔ながらの古めかしいお店です。サバとシャケ７つで１０００円いただきました。ネタが他のお店に比べると酢が強めです（強すぎるとは思わない）むしろご飯によく合わせているなぁ、と思いました。

吉水神社の鳥居の横にある柿の葉すしやさん。奈良には柿の葉すしを売る店は数多あれど、ここのは魚を酢であまり〆てないので、見た目に生っぽく、食べると柔らかくて脂のノリがいい。魚の塩気が強いが、ご飯と一緒だといい塩梅。醤油をつけずに食べるとちょうどいい。
