Nakanishi Yosaburo,
This long-standing confectioner first opened in 1913 and is found in the Naramachi area known for its classical appearance. Inside the shop located in a classical townhouse they offer a variety of Japanese sweets including their famous Naramachi Dango (sweet rice dumplings) and seasonal fresh sweets. They serve desserts and green tea along with their special store-only Yoshino honkuzumochi (kudzu starch cake) and their special sekihan (red rice) lunch set including Japanese and Western dishes (reservations required).
