Isuzuchaya Main Branch

Japanese Confectionery
You’ll find this confectionery near Naiku, Ise-jingu Shrine in Oharai Town, Ise City, Mie Prefecture. It is run by the Akafuku Group. You’ll find Japanese sweets that evoke the seasons as well as Western sweets, Japanese tea, and more. The “okage inu shortbread” is inspired by a dog that came all the way to Ise in its master’s stead, and makes a popular souvenir with tourists. The café space offers Akafuku rice cakes and matcha tea sets as well as other sweets. The charming building was restored from an old Ise warehouse, and you can gaze at the dry landscape garden from the tatami and table seats.
