Odawara City Sontoku Memorial Hall Ninomiya Sontoku Birth Residence
This is a memorial hall built in 1988 next to the site of the Ninomiya Sontoku's residence of birth. In this building with 1 basement floor and 3 top floors, are exhibited various documents and treasured items from the life and works of Sontoku. With an auditorium, lodging accommodations, and a library, the building is commonly used for instructional and social education events. Every year in October the Sontoku Festival is held at which local produce is sold, and musical recitals of the drum and Japanese koto are performed and open instructional workshop, the Hotokujuku, are also offered.
