Nojima Park

This is the only park which has a natural beach in Yokohama. One can see the Boso peninsula and Mt. Fuji from the observatory. The park has barbecue grounds, a camp site, and a baseball field. This park is also the site of the historic spot for the Nojima shell mound and the former villa of Ito Hirobumi in Kanazawa, which are Tangible Cultural Properties of Yokohama City. This site is known as the place where the Edo period ukiyoe artist, Hiroshige Utagawa painted the 'Nojima sekisho' work, one of his eight scenes of Kanazawa.

階段は結構きつい

追浜駅からぶらぶら歩いて行きました。展望台を目指して上りは階段の道を選びました。標高57mあまりを一気に駆け上がる237段だったかな？が結構キツかった。だけど展望台からの景色がよかったので許す。下りは舗装されたつづら折りの道を降りました。

金沢シーサイドラインの野島公園駅から徒歩5分ほど。園内の野球場では少年野球チームが練習を行っており、バーベキュー場にも多くの人が訪れていた。中央部には小高い丘(野島山)があり、山頂まではアスファルト舗装された坂道が続いている。山頂には展望台があり、そこからは対岸にある海の公園や八景島を望むことができるのでオススメである。

野島山に野島稲荷神社や青少年研修センター側から登ることができる険しい階段は、補修工事のため令和2年2月まで通行止め中です。12月-2月はバーベキュー&キャンプ場が冬季休業で比較的静かです。落ち葉の掃除もされてすっきりしてます。台風被害で樹木が減ったうえ、松の高木に折れた枝が残っていたり、桜に樹勢が衰えていたり、ビオトープに生命感が無いのは改善が必要な印象ですが、海と山をコンパクトに味わえる貴重な公...
