Kogetsudo

Japanese Confectionery
Founded in 1945, Kogetsudo is a western and Japanese-style confectionery shop located in Kawazu Town, Kamo County, Shizuoka Prefecture. The shop is famous for its new-style cake, cheese dorayaki, which is made without using any sweet bean paste yet retains that traditional dorayaki (red bean pancake) style. The sour taste of the cream cheese filling goes together perfectly with the sweetness of the cake making it a popular treat for well-known entertainers and customers from far and wide. They sell many other kinds of cakes such as the Madeleine cake topped with local specialty Kawazu cherry blossom petals.
