This souvenir shop located in front of Hakone-Yumoto Station carries a wide variety of products including specialties and sweets of the Hakone/Odawara area as well as other local merchandise. Their famous product is the Castella-yaki Hakone Manju, a sweet dumpling in which white azuki bean paste is enveloped in sweet castella dough. The Hakone manju corner where a machine at the front of the store churns out fresh-baked sweets is often featured on TV programs. Wooden mosaic works, tsukemono and Odawara’s kamaboko are also best-sellers.

店頭で買って食べました。出来たては熱くて美味しいですね。カステラ生地に白餡です。70円／個手頃な値段です。サイズは2口で食べれるサイズで何個でも頂けます。機械で自動で作ってます。箱根湯本駅から降りて直ぐです。

箱根湯本駅の商店街にある、昔からある土産物屋さんです。商店街も改装されて、二層になっています。店頭には饅頭を作る機械があって、眺めているとだんだん食べたくなってきます。少しでも買えるので、その場で食べてしまいます。

カステラ生地に白あんが入ったお饅頭の人気店。駅前という便利なロケーションとガイドブック効果で、プチ行列でした。とはいえ、回転はいいです。値段もひとつ70円、あじもGOOD、箱根と温泉マークの焼き印入りなので、旅行に来た感も味わえていいと思います。おみやげ用の箱入りもありますが、ほとんどの人が2つくらい買って、食べ歩いている感じでした。
