Takoyaki Doraku Wanaka Tenshi Branchたこ焼道楽わなか 天四店

Other Light Meals

This octopus dumpling shop is in Kita Ward of Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture and is a branch of “Wanaka,” which is known for having lines form at its Sennichimae, Osaka location. The dumplings, prepared carefully on an iron grill with broth made from kelp and bonito, have a traditional Osaka taste. The exterior is crispy and fragrant, with the soft interior forming the perfect combination. Many enjoy top them with sauce, which has a fruity taste, or kettle-cooked salt. For a snack you can eat while walking on the street, you can’t go wrong with the ever-popular ebisen (octopus dumplings between shrimp crackers).

While Osaka prefecture is the country's second smallest prefecture, its capital, Osaka City, is the country’s third-largest and arguably one of the most popular in the Kansai region thanks to its vibrant nightlife, the Osaka people’s openness, and its much-loved cuisine, which has earned it the nickname “the nation’s kitchen."
