It is reported that the store is famous for popularizing Castella (a type of sponge cake), which was once a luxury item, as a reasonable sweet for the common people. The Castella is baked using traditional techniques, fresh and quality natural produce, and is a moist and fine cake with a delicate sweetness. The “Just cooked Castella”, fresh out of the oven, limited to directly managed stores, is popular. The second floor of the store is a café where you can taste Castella and other sweets with tea or coffee.

『焼き立てカステラ』とオリジナルスイーツを頂きました。心斎橋に買い物に行った際にこちらのお店におじゃましました。子供の頃に何回か来た事がありますが、変わってませんね。大阪では有名なカステラ屋さん。一階では焼き立てのカステラを購入し、2階のカフェでパフェを頂きました。結構ボリュームがあり食べ応えは十分でした。店内はレトロな雰囲気でゆっくり寛げました。
