6th generation Dotonbori Glico Sign
The Ezaki Glico signboard is easily visible from Ebisubashi Bridge on the Dotonbori River in Chuo Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. The sign is known nationwide as a symbol of Osaka and is a popular spot to take a photo. The first sign was established in 1935 and the current sign is the sixth one, renewed in October 2014. It lights up 30 minutes after sunset until mid-night altering the background and uses 140 thousand LED lights.
