Ayanokoji Okazaki Main Store

Miscellaneous Goods
A shop dealing in select Japanese knickknacks and lifestyle goods located on Okazaki-dori Avenue east of Heian Jingu Shrine. Situated inside the remodeled former residence of Taisho period English literature professor Kuriyagawa Hakuson, the shop’s decor blends Kyoto townhouse elegance with Japanese modern stylings. The shop carries a wide selection of unique goods such as Japanese chirimen crepe and Nishijinori gold brocade, arabesque patterned items, and even gold brocade decorated with skulls. A series of goods made with obi fabric decorated in a traditional “pinwheel” pattern are only sold at the Okazaki location.
