Kazagashira Park
A park located on Mt. Kazagashira offering a fabulous and sweeping view of Nagasaki and its harbor. There is also a statue of Sakamoto Ryoma, a leading figure in the efforts to overthrow the shogunate at the end of the Edo period—a must-see for fans of the man specifically and history buffs in general. Each year great throngs of people come to join in the Cherry Blossom festival held here when the park’s 350 Yoshino cherry trees come into bloom. At night, visitors can enjoy the nightscape of Nagasaki, considered one of the new top three in the world.
