A homemade ice cream shop. Focusing on the concept of simple is best, Cream Dowa uses top quality ingredients. The shop's selection primarily consists of various gelatos made with plenty of raw milk. The three most popular flavors are the sweet-smelling vanilla, milk, and matcha green tea. The light pink sakuramochi gelato took the gold prize in the Foodex Japan 2012 local ice cream grand prix. You can enjoy your ice cream served on a cone or in a cup and the shop also ships in the local area.

北海道、道東は酪農王国です。道東地方の町村部では、人口の数倍の牛が飼われています。ですから当然、牛乳がおいしいんです。つまり、アイスもおいしいんです。そんなおいしいアイス屋さんが目白押しの道東の中でも、クリーム童話のアイスは、トップクラスのおいしさです。硫黄山が見える、川湯温泉駅近くにある本店のアイスは、冬でももちろんおいしかったです。そして、冬なのに、次々にお客さんが来ていましたよ。

川湯にあるジェラート専門店です。常時１０数種類ありますが、定番ものから季節限定の変わり種まで。訪れた日には紫蘇なんてものもありましたが、さすがに試す気にはなれず。喫茶もやっているようですが、お盆期間中はテイクアウトオンリーの貼り紙がしてありました。
