Fugoppe Cave

These historic remains from the post Jomon period is located on a roughly 200 meter-high plain on the Sea of Japan’s south coast. Primitive iconic images of people, animals and boats are engraved everywhere on the walls giving the place a mysterious atmosphere. Earthenware and stoneware have been excavated, and this cave is a highly valued historic site.
