Hokusei-no-Oka Observatory Park北西の丘展望公園
Hokusei-no-oka Observatory Park is a park in Biei, Hokkaido with a pyramid-shaped observation deck that offers marvelous views of both the town of Biei and the peaks of Mt. Tokachi. In the summer, the Park is full of lavender flowers in bloom, creating the beautiful scenery that people associate with Biei. There is a tourist information office and shop, making this a convenient place for visitors. The Park is open between May and October (closed in the winter months).

It’s on the tour bus itinerary so there’s more than a few people there . Worth a half hour...
