This long-established confectionery store was founded in 1936. There are approximately 30 varieties of cake for sale all throughout the year in this tasteful store that symbolizes good old Showa. The ingredients are carefully selected, using local produce from Hokkaido as much as possible, and the store continues to create health-friendly confectioneries that do not include preservatives. This popular store is said to be known to all in Otaru, and to this day, continues to create traditional flavors that are loved by everyone from small children to the elderly.

穴場の店です。女性にはお薦めです。色々なケーキが販売されてますが金のショコラがお薦めです。アーモンドとバターの風味が豊かで美味しいですね

買ったケーキを店内で頂くことができる。何しようか迷ったあげく「館モンブラン」を頂いた。今までの認識では「モンブラン」と言えば、栗や栗のクリームを使ったケーキをイメージするが、小樽で「モンブラン」と言えば、このケーキのことらしい。小樽ならではのモンブランをお試しあれ。

小さな頃、親戚がお土産に買ってきてくれるのが嬉しかった館のケーキ。大人になってからもう一度食べたいなとおもっていました。館といえば、館モンブラン。でも栗はのっていません。ケーキは少しパサパサした感じ？きっと昔から変わらない方法で作っているのかと。次回はしっとりのバナナチョコケーキをいただこうかな。店内は、赤ベルベットの椅子に低めテーブル。純喫茶の雰囲気満点でした！
