This is a cultural facility built to enhance children's sensibility and creativity through various experiences using the five senses. The facility, including a planetarium and playground equipment, is situated behind the Kushiro Regional Government Office. Located on the first floor of the building is Sansan Hiroba, the largest indoor sandbox in Japan that can be enjoyed in any weather. Play equipment such as shovels and buckets are available and can be used anytime. There is also a table sandbox, suitable for those in wheelchairs. There are events to learn about science and nature and both parents and children can enjoy the facility all day long.

子供づれには最適！かがくも学べるし、プラネタリウムもあるし、夏も陽射しを避けられる！！地域にこんな素晴らしい施設があるのは羨ましい。駐車場あり。

ANAクラウンプラザに近い場所にある施設で、大人だけていく場所ではない。こどもが楽しめる施設で、小学生のこどもは無料だった。ただし、大人は600円とられる。旅の途中にこどもが暇をもて余したときには絶好の場所だ。

ＪＲ釧路駅から街歩きしながらたどとり着いた大きなガラス張りの建物、中に入ると一体ここは何なんだろうか？と一瞬考えこむ！流石北海道！屋内型の児童施設か？ガラス張り中央吹抜け下には室内の砂場が有って子供たちが砂遊びしてる！ちゃんと足洗い場まで完備！親子さんにしちゃ公園の砂場じゃあ猫のおしっことかあるからここなら安心かも？
