Zenkoji Temple Gaien Nishinomon Yoshinoya

Other Food
Since ancient times, this sake and miso shop has been known as the brewer closest to the Zenkoji Temple. Making seishu refined sake, miso, amazake sweet half sake, and umeshu plum liqueur, the shop allows visitors to sample many of its foods and beverages. Established as a brewery in 1637, even today the shop is known for its Zenkoji sake. The Kumo version of the shop's additive-free Zenkoji Miso is completely fermented, meaning the miso fermentation process has completely stopped, resulting in a miso with a rich fragrance and mild flavor popular with many.
