Fujimi Town History and Folklore Museum
A museum a 15-minute drive from the Kobuchisawa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. The museum preserves and displays farming implements, production tools, daily life implements, arms, and ancient texts and works of art in order to promote understanding of the history of the people that have lived in the area. Visitors can also view experimental attempts to reproduce ancient methods of iron production, and artefacts dating to between the Yayoi period and the early modern period discovered during archeological excavations in the town. The museum's events are also popular, such as weaving machine experiences held by the local Koren Ori no Kai weaving lovers' group, primitive magatama stone jewel making, Japanese archery, and fire-starting using traditional tools.
