Taki no Yu

"25 minutes from the Toyota-Iiyama Interchange on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway. This hot spring bathhouse is one of the 13 public baths dotting the Nozawa Onsen hot spring district which have been maintained since the Edo period under the Yunakama system. The cozy wooden bathhouse building is situated a little above the Ogama source spring, a Nozawa Onsen landmark. The bathhouse' particularly hot baths are constantly replenished ""kakenagashi"" style from a calcium sulfate-containing salt sulfur spring whose waters are said to promote post-illness recovery. Admission is free but visitors are welcome to put a gratuity in the donation box."
