This historic building in Yocchabare Plaza at JR Kofu Station's North Exit is located in Kitaguchi 2-Chome, Kofu City. It was constructed in 1875 as the Mutsuzawa school building in Kamezawa, Kai City. After being designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan in 1967, the building was moved to its current location in 2010 and is currently used as a cultural exchange guidance facility.

甲府駅北口前にあるこの建物は、国の重要文化財に指定されています。西洋風の建築を、当時の日本の建築技術で再現された建築様式で、偽西洋建築と呼ばれています。明治時代の日本の建築技術を知る貴重な建物です。建物内は無料で自由に見学できます。ギャラリーとして使われている箇所やまた当時の学校の様子も再現されている箇所もあります。
この建物よりもっと大きくクローズアップすべきものがあると思います

この建物の手前に武田信虎公の像があります。甲府市で最も重要な観光は、このような建物では無いように思います。信虎と信玄の関係性が、全国に知ってもらう必要があると思います。もったいない予算配分ですね！
