Cafe Kasuga

A mountain coffee shop where you can enjoy authentic fresh seafood cuisine, just a short walk from the Oharano-Shogakkou-Mae bus stop. The shop owners travel and buy tuna from the Kyoto City Central Market before preparing it themselves, allowing you to experience the freshest seafood. A popular menu item is their seafood rice bowl, loaded with so much tuna, squid, sweet shrimp, salted roe, and yellowtail that you can't even see the rice. Also popular is their Gibasa Meal which uses Akamoku seaweed to great visual effect. As a coffee shop they also serve items like cinnamon toast, rich blended coffee, red bean soup, and matcha green tea.
