Wariishi Onsen

This day-use hot spring is located in Kamioka-cho, long known as a mining town. People say that the spring suddenly burst out from 850 meters underground during ore exploration in 1976. A simple sulfur spring recognized as being effective for nerve pain, rheumatism, movement disorders and insomnia, it is not only local people who go but also many repeat customers who come from far away. Rail-MTB Gattan Go!! (canyon course), where you can bike on the rails of the former Kamioka Railway by mountain bike, is only a ten-minute drive away, and bathing in hot springs is great to wash away sweat after exercising. It has a big room filled with tatami mats.
