"This geological natural history museum is located in the Naegi region, known as a source of a wide variety of minerals. The area from Nagiso Town, Kiso County, Nagano Prefecture to the northern part of Ena City, Gifu Prefecture is a granite distribution area called Naegi-Uematsu Granite. Minerals such as quartz and topaz derive from this granite body, and the region has been known as a major mineral producing region since the Meiji period (1868-1912). There are also stone hunting attractions where you can dig up crystal and workshops using magatama balls, which allows for a great family experience. This museum, which was created to look like a giant piece of granite, also holds a special exhibition called ""My Exhibition Room"" where individuals and organization can display and announce their learning and research activities."

充実の展示と水晶探し

鉱物関連だけなら国立科学博物館を上回るのでは？と思われる充実した展示と、近所から持ってきた土砂を撒いただけらしい場所で探す水晶に子供は大興奮でした。時間制限がありますが、１人につき水晶１つを持ち帰ることができます。それなりの粒のものが普通に落ちているので、１つも見つけられないということはないでしょう。水晶探しは野天ですが、雨の日は屋根のあるところでできるようです。カンカン照りの日もそこででき...

様々な鉱物が展示されており、それだけでも満足であったが、加えて鉱物発掘の体験もでき、見つけたものは貰えて子供は大喜びだった。
水晶探しが楽しかった

鉱物好きのこどものために行きました。展示は国内の鉱物の標本が充実していて、こんなにいろんな種類が国内でも取れるのかと感心しました。おまけの水晶探しコーナーは近くの山から持ってきた土をそのまま撒いてあるとのことで、きれいな煙水晶を見つけることが出来ました。家族全員思いがけず30分間熱中し、いいお土産が出来ました。
