Heiwa-dori Street
A stretch of Prefectural Route 293 running from Hitachi Station to National Route 6. It's a well-known cherry blossom spot with about 120 Yoshino cherry trees planted along a kilometer of the road. It's been selected as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing sites. The Hitachi Cherry Blossom Festival is held there every April, when they illuminate the trees at night, hold events, and more.
