This Japanese confection shop located on National Route 11 in Nishida, Saijo City was founded in the late Edo period. Its flagship product is Yubeshi, a sweet made from glutinous rice flour, white miso paste, and yuzu citrus that was even presented to the lord of the Saijo Domain by the shop’s founder. One of the many varieties of Yubeshi offered include Maru-Yubeshi, which features Yubeshi stuffed into a hollowed-out yuzu citrus. Other offerings include sweets such as their Yuzu Monaka and Brandy Cakes as well as Yuneri, a salty-sweet confection made by boiling yuzu citrus peel with sugar and soy sauce.
