Chimney of the Former Yamane Smelter
"This is a historic structure at the top of Mt. Shoji in Shinden-cho 3-Chome, Sumino, Niihama City. It was used at the Yamane Plant of the Besshi Copper Mine, one of Japan's three greatest copper mines. It has been registered as a National Cultural Property. It is still fondly regarded as a symbol of the region. This so-called ""Chimney Mountain"" has a walking path leading to the top."
