Aloe no Sato

Other places famous for flowers
Shirahama Aloe no Sato is an area near Shirahama and Itadoichiki  where around 30,000 Krantz aloe plants grow wild. A footpath has been constructed which is around 500 meters long, enabling visitors to enjoy a stroll with the Izu Peninsula and its beautiful coastline in the background. The area is particularly beautiful when the aloe plants are in flower, and the ground is a sea of red; it makes for a truly spectacular view. An “Aloe Blossom Festival” is held every year from early December to late January when the aloe plants are in flower, with aloe products on sale and free aloe tea, etc.
