A hot spring bathhouse located in Kawai, Kamikitayama Village, Yoshino County, Nara Prefecture. The bathhouse adjoins Roadside Station Yoshinoji Kamikitayama situate along National Route 309. The waters of the bathhouse' alkaline simple spring are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, and sensitivity to cold. The bathhouse has an outdoor bath where bathers can hear the murmur of the Kitayama River.

2020年に「フォレストかみきた」リニューアル完成

道の駅とレストランがあって、北山川を狭い橋で対岸に渡ると薬師湯があった。当時南側の村営ホテル「ふれあいの郷」は休業中だった。今はリニューアルなった「フォレストかみきた」の館内施設となって建物は残っていない。橋は通行止め。
