This urban park selected as one of Japan's 100 best is among the finest in Tochigi Prefecture. The park covers 93.3 hectares of hilly terrain with mixed groves of trees including jolcham oak, sawtooth oak, and Japanese red pine that surround the central Igashira Pond. The park's Ichimannin Pool water park and its boating pond are especially popular. Some of the park's other facilities include a rose garden, an alpine plant greenhouse, and an athletic field.

栃木県真岡市にある井頭公園へ公園の入り口で右折すると１万人プール左折して少し進むと右手の大きな駐車場（駐車場は３か所・・この時点では気が付きませんでした）駐車場脇にある案内板を見るとバラ園まで300ｍちょっとぐらいに思えたので歩いていくと・・・。花ちょう遊館の案内板ありましたすでにここまでで600ｍほどさらにバラ園に向かって歩いて行きます更に進むこと300ｍほどようやくバラが見...

井頭公園は広いですね。一周して出てきました。桜も綺麗でした。(^^)家族連れで楽しめますね。またのんびり訪問したいです。
