Akatsuka Tameike Park

Park / Green Space
This park that is counted as one of the top ten viewpoints in Itabashi Ward was chosen for scenery unique to Itabashi. It has about 200 plum trees that are nearly 40 years old, and it is known as a famous place for plum trees. In the early spring, seeing the flowers bloom all at once is an amazing sight. The Plum Festival is held every year in early March, and there are events that cannot be enjoyed in a single day such as hayashi music and Oedo dance performances. A 20-minute walk from the Toei Mita Line's Nishitakashimadaira Station, there are other sites including a local museum, art museum and Akatsuka Park (Joshi Ruins of Akatsuka Castle). We also recommend you enjoy walking around them.
