Kakita River Park

The shortest Class 1 river in Japan, at only 1200 meters in length this river, as part of the spring waters of the Kakita River, was selected as one of Japan's Top Scenic Rivers in 1985, and along with the Nagara River and the Shimanto River is one of the Three Great Limpid Rivers of Japan. Known as one of the few gushing rivers in Japan, its source is the melted snow from Mt. Fuji producing approximately one million tons of water per day. Furthermore, it has also been designated as a National Natural Monument for its mineral rich soil. Many flora and fauna make the Kakita River in Shizuoka Prefecture their habitat including the aohada dragonfly.

ツアーで訪問。平日の夕方で見学しているのは我々一行のみでした。そのせいだけではないでしょうが、自然が豊かでとても静かで落ち着く雰囲気の公園でした。第1展望台、第2展望台と見て回りました。展望台ではありますが、水が湧き出るところなので階段を下りていきます。第２展望台の丸い井戸は本当にきれいで透明な水が湧き出し、神秘的な青色でした。公園入口にはきれいな水を利用した豆腐屋さんやカフェがあります。おみ...
