Tommy's Sannomiya Shop

Bread
A one-minute walk west of the Motomachi Koka-dori Shopping Street reachable from the west gate of Hankyu Sannomiya Station. This bakery, resembling a Showa period street stall, is filled with unpretentious, reasonably-priced breads. The bakery's signature An-shoku bread consists of a fluffy and cream bread dough made with fresh cream and mixed with a proprietary coarse anko paste made with azuki beans from Hokkaido. This bread has a novel texture and its flavor is designed to suit Japanese tastes. The Matcha An-shoku, An-shoku made with matcha powdered and black soybeans from Tanba; and the High Milk-shoku made with an abundance of buttermilk, are also popular.
