Kyogashi Museum
"A five-minute walk from Imadegawa Station and a seven-minute walk from the ""Karasuma-imadegawa"" bus stop. This museum, built in 1978, is also located a short distance north from the number two exit of Imadegawa Station. The museum sees more than 20 thousand visitors a year. The unusual facility contains exhibits and models which introduce the history of Japanese confections, as well as a standing exhibition on togei-gashi art such as realistic plants and trees made entirely of Japanese confection materials. The museum also offers a tea ceremony event which serves matcha powdered green tea and seasonal Japanese confections. In addition, the facility holds Japanese confection making classes for large groups."
