Meiko Triton (Ise wangan Expressway)

Bridge
The nickname for a series of bridges along the Isewangan Expressway spanning from the Tokai Interchange to the Tobishima Interchange. The Triton is comprised of three cable-stayed bridges: the Meiko Higashi Bridge, the Meiko Chuo Bridge, and the Meiko Nishi Bridge. The name is a reference to the sea god Triton and was chosen after a public contest. The bridges are lit up different, seasonal colors, such as the green of fresh leaves in spring and the red of fall foliage in autumn, adding vivid color to the nighttime scenery of the port.
