Honsen-ji Temple

Temple
A Buddhist temple believed to have been founded in the Daido period (806-810). The temple is famous for its beautiful large bell, a nationally designated Art Treasure. The temple is also known to many for the festival it holds which includes a fire walking ceremony. The temple's principal object of worship is a figure of Kannon.
