"A park located in Jonai, Saga City. Built on the grounds of Saga Castle, facilities include the Saga Castle History Museum, the Saga Prefectural Museum, an art museum, library, and gymnasium. A walking and running course follows the moat which encircles three sides of the grounds. In spring, cherry trees also bloom along the moat. In recent years, the ""Mizukagami Project"", in which several hundred lanterns are floated on the moat at night, has also been held at the park."

本丸歴史観は一見の価値あり

市内にある城郭の址、入り口の鯱の門は当時を偲ばせる重要文化財で見応えあります。天守の石垣は見れますが、その他の建造物は残っていません。駐車場、入城料ともに無料です。城内の本丸歴史観は無料ですが、結構中身の濃い面白い展示館です。
復元された佐賀城跡のある公園

復元された佐賀城跡である「佐賀城本丸歴史館」のある公園です。無料駐車場はすぐ近くにありました。散策するのにちょうど良いと思います。
「沈み城」

佐賀城址があった所にある公園。鯱の門付近がこの公園の中心になる。佐賀城は平坦な土地にあるため、城内が見えないように土塁にはマツやクスノキがかなり植えられていたらしい。「攻撃にあった際は主要部以外は水没させ敵の侵攻を防衛する仕組みになっていたことから「沈み城」とも呼ばれてきた。」というのも面白い。その面影がまだ残っています。
