Nomura Residence

Historical Monument
This historical building is located inside Doikachu, a National Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings in Doi, Aki City. The district retains its townscape from when it was the home of several samurai families during the time of the Tosa Domain. This building, estimated to have been built around 1830, was the home of the Nomura family, who vassals of the Goto family, the domain’s chief retainers. The home, which is oldest building in the district, was donated to the city and is now open to the public.
