A restaurant in a repurposed samurai residence located in a corner of the Chiran Bukeyashiki-dori (Samurai District). In addition to local cuisine such as satsumaage fried fish cakes and course meals which include sake-zushi fermented with only local sake and no vinegar, the offers udon noodles mixed with Chiran tea and a variety of sets. Open until early evening, visitors are recommended to eat lunch here. The detached villa with thatched roof is available by reservation only for groups. A two-minute walk from the Bugeyashiki-iriguchi bus stop.

団体が先に入っていたせいかとにかくサービスが忙しなく落ち着かない。お椀を新たに置くたびにこちらも協力して既に乗っているお椀を動かす等々、ちょっと普通ではありえない接客だと思う。味はまぁ普通、特筆するほどおいしいものもない代りに食べられないほど口に合わないものもなくすべて完食。おそらくこちらのお店の一番の売りはその雰囲気とロケーション。知覧武家屋敷の中の一軒で食事ができるというのはやはり少し特...

知覧の武家屋敷通りにある古民家を使ったお食事処。2200円の高城庵セット、次々と料理が出てきて、品数が多く、食べ応えがありました。

いつもお客さんがたくさんいます。そのせいか、対応がイマイチで、雑に感じました。予約ができるのは、1人2,000円以上の料理のみという安くない額を払っているのに、接客がいまいちでした。ごはんはそれなりに美味しかったので、残念です。
