WATARI-UM Watari Museum of Contemporary Art
A private art museum in Jingumae, Shibuya. It focuses on worldwide contemporary art and holds numerous exhibitions based on original concepts such as photography and designs. The building, with the impressive striped patterned outer wall, was designed by a Swiss architect, Mario Botta. The name of the museum comes from director and the curator of the museum, the Watari Family.
