Kakujuji Temple

Temple
This Buddhist temple is in Jindaishake, Minami Awaji City. Legend says it was founded by Shotoku Taishi during the reign of Empress Suiko. It's one of the oldest temples on Awaji Island and formerly covered a vast area with many sub-temples. It's also one of Awaji Island's Sacred Sites of the Seven Lucky Gods, honoring the deity Bishamonten who is said to grant courage and determination.
