Takimi no Yado Honen Mansaku

4.0

Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath

A hot spring inn with a bathhouse open to non-guests located a 60-minute drive from the Naka interchange and not far from Fukuroda Falls, one of Japan's three most famous waterfalls. The waters of the inn's alkaline simple hot spring are said to promote health and benefit such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, chronic digestive diseases, and post-hospitalization fatigue. Bathhouse facilities include a hinoki cypress indoor bath and an outdoor bath with a sweeping view of the surrounding area; the scenery changes drastically depending on the time of day, ensuring visitors can enjoy a new and stirring view time after time.

Just a stone’s throw from Tokyo, Ibaraki is a coastal prefecture that has mastered juxtapositions, where old shrines meet new scientific discoveries and traditional gardens are frequented by the inventors of some of the newest technology.
