Approximately 60 minutes by car from the Naka Interchange. This onsen ryokan (Japanese style inn) is located not far from the Fukuroda Falls, known as one of the Japan's three famous waterfalls. The spring water is alkaline simple spring, which is said to be effective not only against neuralgia and muscular pain, but also against chronic digestive diseases, etc. and effective for recovery from illness or fatigue, as well as for promoting good health. The indoor baths made with hinoki cypress and open-air bath overlook the surrounding landscape, and the atmosphere changes dramatically depending on the time of day, making it enjoyable to soak repeatedly.

部屋も広く食事がおいしい

部屋には炬燵もあって広くて快適です。食事もおいしく夕食はコースでいろいろなものがでてくるのがいいですね。特に地元の美名豚をつかった鍋はうまいです。行列で人気のアップルパイもここに宿泊すると並ばずに用意していただけるので４パックも買いました。

通りがかりに行列を見つけて見に行ったらアップルパイを売っていたので並んでみました。行列の進みは遅かったです。20分ごとに焼き上がるとのことでしたが、途中から宿で焼いたものがパックに入った状態で運ばれてくるようになりました。1パック4切れ入って900円。奥久慈のフジリンゴを使っているとの事です。パイはサクサクです。シナモンは使ってないのかな？感じませんでした。美味しかったですし、もらったら...

袋田の滝を見てからここに寄って焼きたてのアップルパイを買うのが定番です。その場で焼いたアップルパイがオーブンから出てくるのを待って購入する感じなので、混んでいる日だと待ち時間が長くなる時もありますが、並んでも食べる価値はあります。
