There's a water drop-themed museum and a science hall where visitors can learn hands-on about themes such as ""life and water"" and ""water usage."" The Rainbow Tower on the grounds commands a view of Lake Kasumigaura and Mt. Tsukuba and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji. Finally, there's a water park with an area where young children can play in an area enclosed by several large boulders."

霞ヶ浦の広さを知れます。

初訪問ですが、展望台に登らなければ無料で楽しめます。広場には滑り台等があり子供連れにはいいかも。展望台は大人300円ですが霞ヶ浦の広さを知ることが出来ます。
水辺の娯楽施設

道の駅たまつくりのすぐ脇にあり霞ヶ浦のほとりにあるため、水辺の環境は整っています。残念ながら訪問した日は休館日で中に入る事は出来ませんでしたが、立派なタワーもあり周囲に大きな建物もないため見晴らしが良さそうです。
子連れで楽しめるスポット

6歳の子供と一緒に行きました。展示物が破損して使えないものが多いのがちょっとがっかりでした。(入場料払っているんだからちゃんと直してほしいな)。内容は良かったです。規模もほどよく、子供と見ても疲れすぎず、体験できるものも多くて楽しかった。
