Kasumigaura Fureai Land (霞ケ浦ふれあいランド)
4.0
"A science theme park dedicated to water located near the Kasumigaura Fureai Land bus stop on the Kantetsu Green Bus leaving from Tsuchiura Station in Ibaraki Prefecture. There's a water drop-themed museum and a science hall where visitors can learn hands-on about themes such as ""life and water"" and ""water usage."" The Rainbow Tower on the grounds commands a view of Lake Kasumigaura and Mt. Tsukuba and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji. Finally, there's a water park with an area where young children can play in an area enclosed by several large boulders."

Ibaraki Areas

Just a stone’s throw from Tokyo, Ibaraki is a coastal prefecture that has mastered juxtapositions, where old shrines meet new scientific discoveries and traditional gardens are frequented by the inventors of some of the newest technology. Head to Mito City's Kairakuen - one of Japan's Three Great Gardens - in spring to experience the cellestial blooming of fantastic cherry blossoms at the annual sakura festival.
