The scale of the water fall is magnificent and the scene of the water gushing down is spectacular. It has been a location for religious training since ancient times and on the first of August, according to the old lunar calendar, “Otakimairi (Worshipping of the waterfall)” was held. On the first Saturday of June, the “Takibiraki Matsuri” festival is held and local traditional entertainment such as the umbrella dance is showcased.
