NAVITIME TRAVEL EDITOR

The Izu Islands are a group of a dozen or so small islands off the coast of Tokyo with seven of them acting as major tourist spots. The islands are generally small and filled with nature and clear ocean views. Three of the most popular islands: Oshima, Niijima and Kozushima, are popular summer destinations for tourists both domestic and foreign. While the islands are small the lodgings are plentiful, ranging from traditional Japanese inns to modern style guesthouses.
