Witness the harmony of a shrine with stained glass windows
Oyama Shrine is quite different from most and you’ll know why when you see the shrine’s gate. This particular fusion of Japanese, Chinese, and European architectural styles was actually designed by a Dutchman in 1875, with the gate featuring stained glass windows not typically seen in Japanese shrines. If you swing by at night, the gate is lit up, highlighting the striking stained glass on the third floor.
